Bannerman is an exploration and pre-feasibility stage mining company with interests in two properties in Namibia and a number of properties in Botswana and Australia. Its principal and most significant asset is its 80% interest in the Goanikontes Anomaly A Prospect in the Welwitschia Exclusive Prospecting Licence Area ("EPL 3345") located approximately 41km (by road) east of the major town of Swakopmund, Namibia and 47km northeast of the port town of Walvis Bay, the "Goanikontes Uranium Project" or "Goanikontes".
In September 2007, the Company received the results of a scoping study which considered the economic viability of the Goanikontes Uranium Project. The study confirmed that, subject to the delineation of the target resources base, a viable operation with strong cash margins could be developed. The Company is moving the Goanikontes Uranium Project forward with the intention to bring it into production as early as feasible. In this regard, drilling is continuing with the aim to produce a final resource estimate prior to June 2008. After such time, the Company expects to commission a feasibility study in respect of the Goanikontes Uranium Project.
